Light Up - A film for TUe

At TU/e, people don’t just imagine the future. They create it.

Together with Eindhoven University of Technology, we created Light Up: a film that captures the energy of a university that turns ideas into positive, real-world impact. 

First shown at the opening of the academic year, it marks a first step towards a more conceptual approach to TU/e’s communications.

Rooted in Brainport

Brainport Eindhoven has grown into a technology and innovation hub with European significance. TU/e plays a central role, connecting research, talent and industry to develop solutions with real-world impact.

But the university’s strength lies in more than its individual faculties, laboratories and partnerships. It lies in what they can achieve together.

This calls for communication that goes beyond explaining programmes, research and ambitions. Communication that connects people and encourages them to become part of the same ambition.

From a spark to real-world impact

Light Up follows the journey from thought to impact. Ideas collide and ignite. Curiosity becomes code, experiments, advanced materials and new solutions. Individuals connect and create the future together.

The title links Eindhoven’s identity as the City of Light to what happens at TU/e today: minds light up, knowledge meets the real world and ideas become tangible progress.

Rather than explaining this story, the film makes it felt. Cinematic imagery, sound and kinetic typography build from the spark inside one mind to the collective energy of a university and its ecosystem.

Because the future isn’t something TU/e observes from a distance. It is something it helps create.
