Challenge

Following the migration to the latest version of F19 and the introduction of a new corporate identity, Haskoning set out to modernise its annual report across both design and production. This required translating the new brand into a clear and consistent reporting style, while at the same time embedding the reporting process within the updated F19.

In parallel, reporting needed to accommodate multiple publication formats and increasing digital requirements, while preparing for the first steps towards CSRD disclosures. The challenge was to bring these elements together in a coherent approach that balances design quality, usability and future readiness.

Idea

Working closely with Haskoning, TD Cascade translated the new corporate identity into a coherent and distinctive reporting design. We developed a clear visual theme and design framework, including grid, typography, colour system and styling for tables, graphs and figures. New illustrative elements with human‑centred visuals were introduced to create a more engaging and recognisable visual language.

Key strategic content was brought to life through the development of core models, including the value creation model, purpose framework and KPI structures. These elements form the backbone of the report and support a more structured and consistent narrative.

Storytelling was further strengthened by structuring the report around Haskoning’s projects across its key markets, connecting strategy, performance and real‑world impact.

From a production perspective, the report was set up within F19, with ongoing guidance and support to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Result

The result is a clear, consistent and visually distinctive annual report that fully reflects Haskoning’s renewed brand identity. The strengthened design system improves readability, structure and visual coherence across all content types, from narrative sections to data‑driven pages. Core models and infographics provide clarity and direction, enabling stakeholders to better understand strategy, performance and impact.

The introduction of structured storytelling and improved visual hierarchy results in a more engaging and accessible report. At the same time, the foundations for CSRD reporting have been established, preparing Haskoning for future regulatory requirements.
