As one of the most trusted suppliers of building materials in the Netherlands, Stiho has been a partner to construction professionals for a century. But the construction industry is changing rapidly: skilled workers are under pressure, digitalisation is accelerating, and the demand for advice, sustainability, and speed is growing.
As a committed family-owned company, Stiho wanted to redefine its role: from supplier to full-service partner. A brand that not only supplies materials, but makes construction easier, faster, and smarter – across every channel.
Idea
In the run-up to its 100th anniversary on 4 March 2026, Stiho partnered with TD to transform its positioning, identity, and customer experience. The new brand positioning, “More building power”, reflects Stiho’s role as a trusted partner who gives professionals the tools, time, and confidence to focus on the real work. The promise, “Time for the real work”, sums it up: Stiho takes care of the rest.
A modular identity system was built around stacked layers – a visual metaphor for how construction works. In the flagship store in Nijmegen, this comes to life through logical navigation, intuitive communication, project zones, service desks, and speed. The propositions “smart digital solutions” and “personal & professional” have been translated across the entire customer journey.
Digitally, the new webshop and app deliver the same experience: fast, intuitive, and fully tailored to the building professional. Smart filters, live stock availability, and project tools make ordering effortless. A brand platform, toolkit, and workshops ensured a consistent rollout and internal alignment.
Result
Stiho now stands on a strong foundation for growth – ready for new categories, propositions, and logistics hubs.
The store acts as a physical manifestation of the brand: clear, inspiring, and personal. Since opening in December 2025, it has set the standard for all future stores, which will be rolled out in phases from 2026 onwards.
Wherever customers encounter Stiho – online, in-store, or on site – they experience a single, clear brand. The new store format is clear and people-focused, while the digital journey is personal and seamless.
